Side Project : Flaming Up The Ferrari Part 3 (FINAL)

it's finally completed..






was searching for the battery charger for almost a week, mana tau it was just under my nose.. literally! luck was with me yesterday, hehehe..

after the discovery of the long lost charger, i immediately continued to fix everything together.. boy, i seriously needa have the habit of taking every detail down 1st before dismantling anything.. screwed up the screw positions... patah wire... missed out parts...

everything was done by 4-5am =.=







now to introduce the features of this beautiful rc car:


Feature 1: signal lights


when turning, this ferrari would have signal lights on while the wheels turn. i bought this around 3-4 years ago so this was the closest thing i can get to a real car back then -.-



there's also light behind...



Feature 2: brake lights


hehe, i like the effect on this pic, notice the lights..




Feature 3: head lamps



oh yes, you can turn the lights on or off

uugh... blinding =.=



dun have a dslr so cant take a clear picture in total darkness



see what i mean? blurrness and malasness to focus refocus refocus....





Feature 4: antenna? what antenna?


now it looks like a real car... ignore the stage of dark granite stage seats behind(i mean the keyboard.. you un? lame!)









overall, a decent job i think.. yellow to flaming Red COMPLETE!

hehehe, finally had all the spraying done including the minor touch ups which now look like crap =.= hopefully you cant see them, hahaha

comparing both, the newly sprayed 1 looks darker but it still looks so damn good..

while going through the whole repaint process, i wanted to charge up the battery so that i can take a few pics of the finished product but i cant find the charger anywhere T.T
all the hard work going to waste? aww well, i'll look for it summore tomorrow and fixing everything up, hopefully will be finished tomorrow..

Side Project : Flaming Up The Ferrari Part 1

i think the long duration of not studying has finally reached another level, now i'm digging up old graves to see if i can do anything abt it...

while waiting for a chance to repaint the yet-to-be-fixed sinanju, i suddenly remembered abt my beat up yellow remote controlled ferrari that i've been wanting to renew ever since it got its 1st scratch. so at abt 6pm, i took it out from its grave (cupboard) and started to detach its upper shell. i finally managed to take it out by 8pm, had to cut off a wire too as it was deeply intergrated to the shell.. aww well, gonna do some patching up later after the paint job

even the newspaper is flaming the car up ^^ 烧!!

here's where the ferrari undergoes its transformation from yellow to Flaming Red



since i started in the evening, gotta wait till tomorrow to coat it 2 more times before minor touchup begins. had to sand the front hood as it was unevenly coated due to past efforts of touching up the yellow. mistakes from the past does haunt you, now gotta stitch those nine stitches instead (note: a stitch in time saves nine)

doubt that i'll wake up early enough to paint it in the morning so i guess this side project is grounded till friday...

k la, update a bit 1st ler


the old computer has finally KOed badly just now as it crashed just right after i tried turning it on again again.. a sign to finally lay it to rust..

here's the old metal together with the new 23"monitor which was also dragged down 6 feet under by the old comp T.T i was still so new -.-



as you can see here, the monitor has literally flat lined.. horizontally and vertically

aww well, time to go subang and get a new 1 with a lil of screwing the guy up abt the new monitor while i'm there.. i wonder if they're open tomorrow? may i slip in a psp while i'm buying gadgets huh dad? kekekeke
